The journey started in 2007...
From 1992 to 2007, Suresh Babu worked with the legendary architect of India, Padmabhushan, Dr. Hafeez Contractor. During his tenure as a senior associate, he worked on several prestigious buildings such as projects of Hiranandani in Chennai, the Leela Palace Hotel, The Imperial, Textile Lab and Research Center in Mumbai and many more. In 2007, Suresh Babu and Partners began with just 3 employees.
Since then, it has grown to handle several national and international projects, across various typologies and has won numerous awards and accolades for the same. We have also partnered and collaborated with some of the best national and international architectural practices such as HOK, MVRDV, Foster + partners, M Square to name a few.
Our Mission
To achieve our vision, we are constantly reinventing ourselves and our ways of working with help of our past experiences, present challenges and opportunities and ever evolving futuristic technology. We work in close partnership with our clients, transforming common place spaces into inspired & highly functional environments that give form to your needs and aspirations.
While each commission is a unique undertaking, every SBP project shares a consistent creative vision that is fresh, contemporary, and unafraid of engaging with the architectural past.
We involve multiple roles and disciplines – Architects, Graphic Designers, Engineers, Interior Architects and Urban Designers from the onset of the project to collaborate in an integrated process and churn out multiple evolutionary iterations which eventually germinate ideal solutions. We coalesce research into emerging materials, construction & technology with an intense connection to cultural history creating projects that feel simultaneously rooted and contemporary.
Our ultimate objective is to design buildings and urban environments that perform efficiently, inspire people, transform communities & revolutionize cultures.
